HELIOS and HemaFAIR invite you to a webinar: Privacy-Preserving Record Linkage: Use Cases, Approaches, and Implementation Scenarios in Rare Diseases.

We are pleased to welcome Dr. Dieter Hayn from the LBI for Digital Health and Prevention, who will present key concepts and practical perspectives on securely linking health data while protecting patient privacy.

This session will provide a clear overview of how privacy-preserving techniques can be applied to enable data integration across institutions, supporting collaborative research and advancing knowledge in rare diseases without exposing sensitive information.

This webinar will explore:
🔹 The principles and importance of privacy-preserving record linkage
🔹 Methods such as hashing, encryption, and secure multi-party computation
🔹 Challenges in cross-institutional data linkage and compliance
🔹 Real-world applications in rare disease and clinical research

As part of the HELIOS & HemaFAIR webinar series, this event aims to:

• support secure and compliant data integration practices
• enable collaboration while safeguarding sensitive health data
• promote innovative approaches to data sharing in rare disease research

🎯 Target audience: researchers, clinicians, data scientists, data stewards, and stakeholders interested in privacy-preserving methods, secure data linkage, and rare disease research.
