This lecture, delivered by Dr Joana Borrego Pinto, provides an overview of the Swiss Transplant Cohort Study (STCS) app ecosystem and its role in supporting data management, project coordination, and research activities within a large-scale clinical cohort.
The session offers a practical tour of the STCS digital infrastructure, demonstrating how integrated applications can facilitate data collection, monitoring, communication, and project management across a distributed research network. Participants gain insights into the challenges and opportunities of managing complex research ecosystems, as well as the strategies used to support efficient collaboration, data quality, and long-term sustainability.
By showcasing real-world experiences from the STCS, the lecture highlights valuable lessons for research infrastructures seeking to strengthen data governance, operational workflows, and collaborative practices, aligning closely with HemaFAIR’s objectives of advancing FAIR and interoperable health data ecosystems.
